meister33
Hey all, i am kind of new to the forum. Anyways i have got utorrent client installed on my PC and been have some really anoying problems. SO... i found out that i was not getting any incoming downloads, only uploading. i had a little yellow triangle in the bottom telling me that i have a connection problem or a router/firewall is blocking a port. so i go to portforward.com (or whatever the site is) and open a port and its a few east steps and it seems like it works because i did the port test in the utorrent speed test under prefferences. So i go and try a download.. still nothing... i try a movie with about 1000 leachers and seeders and it downloads in 2 hours. fine, but still not smaller file downloads, so i turn off My Kaspersky Internet Security and the yellow triangle goes from that to Grean with a check mark... but still i get NO download speed. maybe only like 0.2 kb/s... and i have tried everything from allowing it through firewalls from, new ports, to turning off the firewalls.can someone please help me.... Azureus did not even work either for me...i dont know what happend. Thanks
Firon
http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/Do torrents from here work? Also, I'd suggest uninstalling Kaspersky, instead of just disabling...You can always re-install it afterwards.
meister33
I have not tried torrents from here, i think i will though. And by un-installing Kaspersky. Do you mean by not using it at all, or just un-install it and the re-install it?Because i like kaspersky and its a good anti-virus.Thanks-
GTHK
If you have a router, and if you're using Kaspersky Internet Security, you can uninstall it, and during reinstall unselect the firewall component. Trying to remove the firewall component only while it's already installed wont work, I tried. If that doesn't apply, just uninstall it as a test and see what happens. meister33
Ok so i uninstalled Kaspersky and restarted the computer. Booted up uTorrent AND... nothing still the same... this is starting to piss me off.. anyways i looked at the Logger info on the bottom tab of uTorrent.. and it said this " Error opening windows Firewall: 0x80070005 Acces is denied." - and i turned off windows firewall and this still came up!Is it the Vista i am using or what? because it is doing the same on my laptop. i might just re-install windows XP. Firon
If it's green, then you can probably ignore that windows firewall error. Did you ever try the torrent I linked you to?
