gergith
Hello, I am not saying utorrent is causing this, it is just this is the only reason I use this computer Thats right, the sole purpose of this computer is uTorrent ANYWAYS. My computer will randomly just reset. like.. as if the reset button was tapped, that abruptly, no blue screen, nothing.I cannot figure out how to monitor what the problem is.I don't know how to either for that matter I am posting here for help and suggestions on this matter.I do realize this could be a hardware issue. But lets make the assumption that all post should be devoted to it being a software problem. My biggest problem is that of patience, and a lack of logging Whats the best way to log my computer to see the last executed command?I normally try and just run utorrent for as long as i can by itself. and that lasts about 5 minutes tops and then i get bored, and start to use firefox, and or vlc. the crashes happen sometimes when either both AND neither are open. So sometimes it is just utorrent.i have always noticed it was while checking a 155 gig torrent... Almost always its while it is checking this. now that being said, its all my computer does for the first 10-20-30 minutes of its being back on, due to the fact it is 155gigs...SO!How can I log uTorrent? And my computer as a whole? And any other ideas? DreadWingKnight
did you disable automatic restart on system failure?
gergith
when you say system failure, does that mean what i think of as blue screen of death? If so i haven't changed the settings i don't think, ill look for those settings now and reply back if i can find which way, but i think you mean a windows settingEDIT:I found the setting in control panel --> system properties --> Advanced tab --> Startup and RecoveryIt was a checkbox in there, thank you very much for this much Now at least we can find the exe/dll that is causing this, thank you again
Halcyon Dayz
If that is what's causing it.Random resets might very well be caused by an hardware problem, likely something electrical.

Firon
If you can write down the BSOD when/if it happens again, perhaps we can help figure out which driver is causing it, if any.If you use Zone Alarm, ZA is known to cause blue screens of death on some computers, so that could also be a possibility. Firon
If you're getting randomly different BSODs, you might be having hardware failures, possibly RAM or the power supply.
