Zief
Why utorrent uses port 80? When I go to http://localhost/ I get "invalid request", why is runs http server? I have tracker and webui disabled.
jewelisheaven
uT is on /gui/ if you run uT on port 80... you must use http://localhost/gui/I see nothing about 'blocking' in your description.. please elaborate
Zief
I dont want to use webGUI. I wanted to start my own webserver and noticed that ut is already using/blocking port 80 so server wont work at that port. I would like to know why port 80 is needed by ut when webui is disabled. And is it possible to change that behavior?
jewelisheaven
... uT doesn't use a port you don't tell it to use. If you're running uT on port 80, change the port.
Firon
It will only listen on port 80 if YOU configured it to.
Zief
Yes I had turned on "Alternate port" in WebUi to 80. But WebUi was disabled and that it still used that port was confusing, anyway thanks for answers
jewelisheaven
Yea it still binding when disabled... has been discussed before. I'm not sure what the decision was/if it's a coding problem or a windows binding problem.
Ultima
It's a design problem more than anything.
