jewelisheaven
xx/192 settings... If you only have that much upload I'd be surprised if your download was > .5Mbit ....How fast does http://slackware.com/torrents/ download?
floyd502
Hi, reached 55.9 at one time but average is between 52 kBps. It sometimes goes up to this download speed but then goes back down and stays around the average for a while.

oOflyeyesOo
Also make sure that you have your upload speed capped at 10kb/s or so. Sometimes that helped when I wasnt seeding at full speed.
floyd502
hi, that helped a little. would I need to change broadband for 1-2mb package for faster downloads? thanks for all help
Switeck
512 kilobits/second download max is 64 KiloBYTES/second download speed THEORETICAL MAX.So with less-than-perfect conditions, plus overhead costs of internet traffic in general...it's not surprising to get only about 70-80% theoretical max.So long as your upload speed isn't faster than your line can sustain, often uploading around 60-80% upload max works best.
