low speed !!! help plz

First I was using Bit comet but now i am trying u Torrent

My download speed is to low for me !! :mad: ( max 50 kB/s )

download speed is low too ! ( max 5KB/s )

I´m living in Argentina and my conection is called fibertel !!! max download 600 kb/s i think !

so if u guys could hlep me to improve my download speed and the upload speed also a bit !

here are my preferences so far !

global max number connections 350

max number of connected peers per torrent 150

number of upload slots per torrent 60

and the other options i didn`t modify !

yes I read it ! ´But I get the network Ok in the status bar, I download from a private tracker ( ~seeds 300 peers 300 ) and I disabeld the firewall ! Still I get very slow speeds !!!! and to experiment with connections per torrent and the upload slots I don`t know with which values I should try !

Chances are, your ISP is crippling BitTorrent traffic almost to the point of uselessness.

But working inside what tiny limits they do give you, try these settings:

global max number connections: 90

max number of connected peers per torrent: 50

number of upload slots per torrent: 3

Download speed max: 50 KB/sec

Upload speed max: 5 KB/sec

Try slowly increasing your download speed and upload speed limits from these numbers in µTorrent till it gets no faster on either.

I'm almost positive your ISP is really limiting your upload for BitTorrent, and probably to 10 KB/sec or less.

Go test your upload/download speed http://www.dslreports.com/stest ( only some of them offer upload testing) use test sites in your country.

You have to many upload slots lower it to 4, and watch the speed over time 15-30 min then increase it by 1, and keep going til you find what works best for you.

Try starting with

global max number connections 300

max number of connected peers per torrent 75

number of upload slots per torrent 4

i got a movie with seeds 377 and peers 200 and i only get 50 kb/s !!!

my upload speed is ok i think ! I get 10 Kb/s !!

should I now try to change the values of global max connections and max number of connected peers ???

( for some min i got 109 kB/s when i was changing those values ! )

What download speeds do you get on http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/index.html these torrents

i get speeds arround 30 going sometimes up to 90 downloading movies !!!But i am not satisfied yet ! I wont the highest speeds i can get with my connection !

aui, you can't always get what you want. BitTorrent is a very fickle protocol that's dependent on way too many factors, and because of that, you'll *almost* never get a constant download rate. As such, it's very difficult to max out your connection's download rate.
