kittikatt60
Hi Folks,Port Forwarding...Well, Linksys WRT54GX works great, particularly wirelessly... but what do I need to change if I want to use my wired connection instead that is linked to my wireless router?I realize I would have to change something back and forth, depending on if I am going wired or wireless, but I have much better speeds wired.Any suggestions or instructions would be fabulous! Thanks,Kitti
jewelisheaven
... You don't change anything, if you're DHCP then still use DHCP. If you have it use UPNP, se UPnP. If you manually forward, use the same port. What's the problem you're having?
Switeck
It's your computer changing network cards used to reach the router that's got to have some settings changed ...probably.If the computer uses the same fixed LAN ip address to connect to the router regardless whether connecting to it via wired or wireless (but obviously not both at the same time!) then there should be no need to change any router settings.
