sukia45
Suddenly uTorrent went unconnectable with windows XP. I've been using for a year with no problems, ports forwarded and green all the way. I use uTorrent on two different desktops on a router and they both went yellow the same time. I tried uTorrent with wine in Xunbutu and instantly went green. So why is XP making it hard to connect? anybody?
Firon
Are you sure it's unconnectable? Have you tried the port tester? Do you have a software firewall?
sukia45
I've tried the the port test (and canyouseeme.org). I have the same windows firewall (if you can call it that). I did not change anything there, same port (and static ip) has been used all along. I've used uTorrent since Jan 2006 on one pc and added the other not long after, and had no problems. But recently I constantly got the yellow, and port test said closed no matter what I tried. I thought my router was doing it but I'm using Transmission on a Xunbutu for fun desktop and it connects no problem, so I tried uTorrent in Wine and got the "green light". So I'm thinking it must be be something in XP. I guess I could switch to Xubuntu all around.
Firon
Try removing and recreating any rules in the windows firewall... and maybe post a HijackThis log.
