dexterdoo
Everything seems to be working. Got the green circle, ports are forwarded ok and have checked settings over and over but still can't get anymore than 2kB/s down. Even the Ubuntu test site gives me 1.4kB/s ! Without the router I get 150kB/s ! With the router and Comcast I got max speed also ! But with dsl and the router, no dice ??? Everything else works fine and speed tests are right on the money. It has to be some setting in the router but I still can't figure it out after many hours reading ?? Bet it's some simple setting that this poor Noobie just hasn't found ........ =(
Firon
Get a different router. Some routers can't handle torrents.
dexterdoo
Like I said, this router had no problem with Torrents for the 2 years I used it with Comcast Cable. I just switched to ATT DSL and now there's a problem. You're the Pro, Firon but it just doesn't seem like a hardware problem all of a sudden ???Is my logic flawed ??? Firon
Well, if the router has a hard reset button to reset all settings, you can try that and see if it makes a difference. But stuff DOES go bad. Might just be a coincidence in this case.
dexterdoo
A Hard Reset ! Now there's one thing I didn't try !! I'll give that a shot and post back tomorrow. My eyeballs are flamin' now ..... Thanks Firon * =)
