noberts852
all of a sudden utorrent is saying a router/firewall is blocking incoming connections but it never did before. before this came up i didnt even need to forward ports it connected fine itself. now even if i forward the ports it says they are not forwarded the only way it says they are is if i turn the routers firewall off. all settings are defaulted again with the router and utorrent and im still having the same problem i have all correct settings as i have done this before with 4 other routers but this one is giving me some jip. any help would be much appreciated. my router is a siemens gigaset se 587wlan provided by tiscali in the uk.i have also just updated the router firmware
dvelez1985
Similar problem with mine too. My ports have been forwarded and utorrent says they're not. But when I use a port in the 50000 to 51000 range no problem utorrent says they are open. But that range is being used by another program. I need port 51001 to be seen but it's not and not only that as I mentioned in my post utorrent keeps forcing port 51002 on me even though in preferences it say 51001. Please any help. Oh and like norbert said I updated the router firmware too.
masshu
maybe you can check if your port is properly opened by your isp here http://canyouseeme.org/
dvelez1985
Okay that site must not be working right because it's saying all my port are closed even my ftp port but my ftp port is open and I know because I can ftp from a remote machine successfully. As I said before in my post which is on the second page by now these ports were working fine. My router went down and I upgraded the firmware and now the ports aren't being seen as opened. Yet the other apps such as FTP, emule, etc.. see the ports just fine even when I change emule's ports to 51001 which is the port I want utorrent to see emule see it open. Utorrent on the other hand doesn't and my ISP blocking ports doesn't explain my other issue. Why does utorrent keep forcing port 51002 on me when I clearly put 51001 in the preferences?
