Lancer
I've used Utorrent to download a couple of thngs now, and the speed has always been .01 kbps to 20 kbps, when I know I have the capabiltity of going 100 + kbps, and I think I found the problem, my port isn't forwarded. My question is, is there a free application that can forward ports for you? I have a linksys router and to do this myself I'd have to set up a static IP, which I don't really want to do.Is there a program that can help me or should I just leave it alone? torrero
Well, the easiest method is to enable UPnP in your router settings. If this doesnt work you have to configure manually, as described at http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm
Lancer
Ok, what If I took the cable out of my router and put it in my laptop, therefore bypassing the router, would it solve my problems?
