Poleh
Hi folksI have two current issues, one of which I see others are having and don't seem to have resolved/it's the hardware's fault.1. Multiple UPnP Devices - uTorrent tries to use the incorrect oneI have a Zyxel Zywall 5 with UPnP turned on and a DLINK DIR-655 Wireless Router/Gateway device.uTorrent seems to only ever try connecting to the DLINK which isn't my gateway device. I have even turned UPnP off on the DLINK still to no avail. The errors I get are:[21:12:13] UPnP: Discovered host: http://192.168.1.2/root.sxml[21:12:13] UPnP: Received invalid query from UPnP device2. Zywall 5 UPnP Mapping stops working after a periodBefore I got the DLINK and those problems arose the Zywall would mostly work with uTorrent and UPnP except the port mapping would stop working after a certain period. By this I mean, if you rebooted the Zywall, and then restarted uTorrent within about 10-15 minutes, the port mapping would work fine, and it would maintain that port mapping (no need to map, already mapped etc). External IP would be found too, without any problem. However, if I restart uTorrent any time after that, I simply get an error that the port could not map. These errors both occur on Widows XP, Server 2003 and Vista/Vista SP1Any help would be appreciated, happy to run debug versions too if needs be.Output from UPnPTest here:Description: ZyXEL ZyWALL 5 Internet Security ApplianceDeviceType: urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:InternetGatewayDevice:1FriendlyName: ZyXEL ZyWALL 5 Internet Security ApplianceManufacturer: ZyXELManufacturerUrl: http://www.zyxel.com/ModelName: ZyXEL Internet Security ApplianceModelNumber: ZyWALL 5ModelURL: http://www.zyxel.com/PresentationUrl: http://192.168.1.1/SerialNumber: 00000001UDN: uuid:11111111-0000-c0a8-0101-00134926bba9UPC: 000000000001Description: Xtreme N GIGABIT RouterDeviceType: urn:schemas-wifialliance-org:device:WFADevice:1FriendlyName: WFADeviceManufacturer: D-Link SystemsManufacturerUrl: http://www.dlink.com/ModelName: Xtreme N GIGABIT RouterModelNumber: DIR-655ModelURL: http://www.dlink.com/PresentationUrl: http://192.168.1.2/SerialNumber: noneUDN: uuid:390F8DD3-5132-3584-BAFE-F5C3B012F5ECUPC: 00000-00001
jewelisheaven
If it doesn't detect it... uT can't use it. Use wireshark to capture the packets and put them online with a link here, or email it directly to the developers, in which case your order will be processed in the order received. GTHK
Also, is the D-Link still acting as a gateway device? It should have a connection type called "Bridge Mode" that will hand everything off to the ZyXEL, though looking for and disabling NAT/Router-mode might be sufficient. Firon
The UPnP discovery will find all the devices and then map a port to all of them. It sounds to me like your Zyxel is broken.
Poleh
Firon, for someone who is an enthusiast and fairly capable, how would I go about verfiying that this is a Zywall problem (that's persisted through MANY firmware upgrades) and not a uTorrent or combined problem? Is there something I can do with the developers to help this along? Firon
Well, UPnP is unfortunately a protocol that's implemented very poorly across routers. You can try upgrading to the 1.8 beta to see if it works (which will try utorrent's own UPnP and XP's UPnP, since some routers only implement it one way)
