uTorrent Removal

OK. I searched for removal and just found one thread with information about removal of this program. It is not listed in my add/remove programs list so that is not the way to go. I made a hijackthis log. Any help removing uTorrent would be appreciated. Also if you see any other strange things in my log while looking it over, please let me know as I really have no idea what that log is telling me or how to get rid of some of those things.

OK, what version of uT? ... cuz it's been there for... recent memory.

Version 1.5 It has been there a while, I never used it and don't remember why I installed it. Actually I don't even know what it does. I was just trying to clean out some files and programs that I don't use and that one has never been used as far as I remember.

just delete the exe if you're not using it then. Yeah there's /UNINSTALL but I don't have old builds handy to know if that'll work or not.

So that would stop it from starting up but would it remove the whole program?

starting up... is in preferences. removing the program, yes.. delete the exe or use /UNINSTALL will work. If not add /S to uninstall. This is in the Manual btw

Versions that old didn't have uninstall. All he has to do is delete the exe.

Any reason in particular that you want to remove it instead of upgrade to a newer version?

Thanks for the replies. I will get to try them tonight when I get back home from work. Like I said I don't remember why I installed it and I don't think I have ever used it. I actually began to think it was one of those programs that comes with the computer and does things in the background to help it run. Then while going through some of the programs to clean the ones I never used I noticed that one was not in the add/remove section. Then I looked a little deeper and saw it was something like a file sharing program. I never used it so I don't need it on the computer. If I ever do need it then I know where to go to get it! Right here!
