Cybermagier
Hi,sometimes I upload videos to a private tracker and often the others can download only 99.8%. When I re-check the torrent then, I also have only 99.8% of the file and become a downloader. Lately I check the torrent before uploading it, so I can create a new one if necessary. But that didn't work with the torrent I'm uploading now and nobody can complete it.Can someone help me with this?
DreadWingKnight
What media indexers and players do you have installed?
Cybermagier
On my internet computer there is only the Windows media player.
GTHK
Are you or some piece of software retagging the files after creating torrents for them?
Cybermagier
No, I don't do anything with it. I also made a crc check of the file I'm uploading and it's the same as the one on my other computer.
GTHK
Does it always change on one or both sides? Unless WMP has some retagging I don't know about I guess an HJT check is in order: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=29748Windows Event Viewer, and controller, atapi, or ide errors? GTHK
ZA is crap, but I haven't heard of it causing this problem. What I mean is, when you hash check, in the files tab, is it the first and last pieces that are lost (not blue)?
jewelisheaven
What is it with these things lately O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [snpstd3] C:\WINDOWS\vsnpstd3.exe ... indeterminate information. It wouldn't hurt to uninstall ZA to test though :/ Do you think it could be some on-demand scanning part of AntiVir?
Cybermagier
The lost pieces are always different ones.I suppose the vsnpstd3 is from my webcam.
jewelisheaven
That suggests some sort of memory related problem, be it from programs scanning the file in memory or if your memory is possibly dying.I mentioned the cam thing because it's not normally shown with a number. It's not a threat just odd.
Cybermagier
So how can I find out, if it's a memory problem, as I don't think other programs have problems with it.
GTHK
First, look in the Windows Event Log for atapi or ide errors to check for possible HDD problems. To check memory, a program Memtest86+ can be used by booting your computer with it by floppy, CD, or USB drive (it'll take a while to test). Cybermagier
I just used memtest and it found some errors, so I suppose that's the cause of my problems. Thanks for all your help!
GTHK
When replacing the defective modules, don't forget to buy the same type and make sure your board supports the amount and size being put in. Hope your PC gets better .
