WarmCurb
I've noticed that uTorrent balances your bandwidth. If I have 5 torrents going at once, the speeds will not max out. Rather they will all hover around the same speed. I was wondering which setting stops this? I'd rather max out than have the speeds hover if possible. Firon
No, it doesn't do anything like that. That happens because your upload is spread across a lot of torrents, and peers in said torrents give YOU less bandwidth. If you have something like 4 slots, and 50kb/s upload, running 5 torrents means you'd have 20 slots, and would be giving a mere 2.5 KB/s to each peer (probably less). WarmCurb
Perhaps this problem is more a result of ports. I've never had a problem with this until now. I've forwarded port 7390 through the router and uTorrent and yet I'm getting 1kb/s speeds. OiNK says I'm not clever, but port tests show that it is open. Firon
How strange... I think you may have another problem. Connect directly to the modem and see if it goes away?
WarmCurb
I just changed my ports to a random port and now I'm "clever." But downloading is still slow. For example, I am only getting 30kb/s with 24 seeders. Can you please confirm that the settings I posted above are correct?

chaosblade
Try the openoffice torrent and see what speeds you get there. The number of seeds wont always tell you that you should be getting maximum speeds.

WarmCurb
My browsing and normal downloads (not torrents) also slow down when uTorrent is in use.
Firon
That's expected, because you're using most of your line bandwidth. Downloading uses upload too, so when you add that with the uploading you're already doing, you get close to, or at your line's upload speed.Get cFosSpeed or something if you want that to not happen. WarmCurb
Sorry to keep bumping this thread, but I am running into some major problems. I'm on a torrent with one seeder and it keeps dropping off. At one point, an error read "access denied." Is this a faulty setting? Also, are these settings correct:Global Max. Connections : 200Max.
