m4rx
Firstly, when i used the utorrent v1.7.7,i didn't get problem when downloaded a file (approximately 600 mb) and finished one week although got error logs like "NAT-PMP :unable to map with NAT-PMP" and installed the antivirus program like eset32 smart security v3.0.650. After that i tried download another file (approximately 2 gb) with added new patch like EvID4226Patch223d-en.zip and uninstalled the eset32 smart security v3.0.650 and turned off windows firewall when download progressing to 40% i've got problem speed only got 0,1 kB/s ~ 1 kB/s or not at all at down speed. I tried to solve that like install the utorrent v1.8 beta(build 10853) with IPv6/teredo and new driver for LAN and follow the common procedures from ultima but not success till now. I play the internet at university. jewelisheaven
Is the availability of the torrent > .400 ?
m4rx
When i check that torrent have avaiability for that seeds is more than 300 and leechs more than 500.My isp is telkom indonesiani always download with download manager without utorrent with speed approximately 300 kbytes/s but if i download with utorrent always get 0,1~1,0 kbytes/sWhat wrong with that?. jewelisheaven
Any download manager is likely using HTTP which ISPs have little ability to cripple in the way many interrupt or slow down (shape) bittorrent traffic. You didn't answer the question. Just because the tracker says there are 300 seeds doesn't mean you're connecting to any of them. Availability is an aggregate value of all the AVAILABLE parts to the torrent. uT only counts pieces it can connect to and therefore theoretically download. One seed connection increases the available by 1.000. Similarly your 40.0% is equal to .400 availability.
m4rx
My download manager is internet download manager (idm) 5.12 build 10.I am using my idm when i not use the utorrent. If i use both utorrent & idm will slow down the utorrent. If about seeds i'm connecting with them only 2 seeds or not more than 5 seeds. The color light at utorrent always red.I'm set the netmax half open to 70 accordingly with the tcp/ip patch to
jewelisheaven
I'm surprised you get any speed at all. Most ISPs in south east asia cripple bittorrent traffic, added to the fact that international traffic is highly restricted. Hopefully this will improve (somewhat) next year after the new trans-pacific cable. If you're unable to get even 10 peers in a HIGHLY popular torrent you don't need to and SHOULDN'T increase your connection settings beyond that. It's LESS presence that you're trying to fileshare, NOT MORE, which may allow you to get some more speed depending upon the methods they use to shape/restrict your traffic usage.Again, what is the availability. Switeck
"I'm set the netmax half open to 70 accordingly"That's into ridiculous territory, especially for a university-shared line. It means uTorrent is quite likely trying to connect outward to 70 MORE connections at once...not counting already-connected connections and incoming connection attempts.Your line may have even been given "special treatment" throttling/crippling due to over-use/excessive connections. m4rx
I am understood what you saying that. That's mean i must rolling back net max half open to 8 & uninstall tcp/ip patch, isn't it?
Firon
You don't have to remove the patch, but you should roll back the setting anyway.
Switeck
No need to unpatch windows, just uTorrent doesn't need to be so aggressive...draws too much attention to yourself.
