Westbrook
I'm somewhat new to uTorrent. I am in the process of downloading a large file.So far, I have uploaded twice as much as the size of the file that I'm trying to download. But what am I uploading??How can I tell what is being uploaded? And why is my upload speed more than twice as much as my download speed?I'm uploading in the 25 to 35 kByte range, but only downloading in the 5 to 15 KByte range. DreadWingKnight
You are only uploading what you download.http://utorrent.com/guides.php
Westbrook
If that's the case, I've already uploaded about 15% more than I've downloaded. And right now, my download speed has gone to ZERO while upload speed is 35 KB.Why is the file not downloading anymore? It's only 75% complete, and the ETA right now is infinity. DreadWingKnight
You don't exactly upload what you've downloaded. You upload copies of what you have on your machine. If the file has stopped downloading, what is the listed availability? Do you mean all my data is being uploaded???> If the file has stopped downloading, what is the listed availability? How do I determine the availability? DreadWingKnight
You can upload multiple copies of each piece that you downloaded. That's how your uploaded amount can exceed your downloaded amount. The availability has its own column as well as has an entry in the general tab.
