Wabolas
Hey guys, I was connected to a peer that gave me a download speed of 150kb/s.. WOW! I disconnected my internet and plugged it back in, but now I'm not connected to him. How do I make it so I connect to a specific IP?
Ultima
You don't. µTorrent will automatically attempt to connect to whatever peers it can, and will search for the fastest it can connect to.

Switeck
If you wrote the ip + port number for the peer, you might be able to add the peer to the list and uTorrent should try to connect to it...if it's not already connected to 50+ other peers/seeds.NOTE: This doesn't work with private torrents! Ultima
Eh? Manually adding peers does work with private torrents...
Switeck
I wasn't aware it worked, as that'd be a way around the private flag.
jewelisheaven
uTorrent accepts peers if someone knows the infohash and their connection info.... I don't know about other clients.
Ultima
It'd be borderline stupid to not accept a connection with the right "credentials" just because its IP didn't appear in the peer list sent by a tracker, especially considering the fact that trackers rarely send every single peer in the peer list.
