JustMe8664
When I use utorrent, it comepletely blocks the internet connection. We have a small network with 3 computers. Every time I open utorrent, the connection speed for everyone drops from 300kb/s to 20kb/s - That's before I ever made more then 10 connections or downloaded anything. I checked the manuals regarding my settings and did everything I could figure out. My ports are forwarded and everything seems to be in order.Only it's not... What's going on? rafi
did you follow the speed-guide (control-G) setup exactly - using your correct max upload speed as a parameter in the list ?
Switeck
Is your ISP hostile to file-sharing, particularly BitTorrent?(Ask around locally, do GOOGLE searches...to find out.)Even if you think you set everything up correctly, it's best to post what you did here and the measured speed of your connection both down and up. We may catch something you missed.
captaintrav
Did you try the latest beta? I had issues with 1.7.7 that were somewhat similar, but not with other bittorrent clients. Seems to have disappeared with the 1.8 beta though.
JustMe8664
It's worse with utorrent than Vuze but it happens with both. I've never had a problem with file sharing with this provider (I've been with it for years) and it's only happening in the last few months. As for settings -A speed test showed 628 down and 82 up, but since the network is having problems when these program works, I don't put much stock in these numbers. I've set the utorrent to the default with xx/
Switeck
Try the 1st AND 2nd link in my signature.Because you share the connection, you may need slower than 64 kilobits/second max upload speed.
