Divide total size in KiByte (if it's in Byte divide by 1024, if it's in MiB multiply by 1024, if it's in GiB multiply by 1048576) by your average speed in the Speed tab... that will give you seconds. Divide by 3600 to get hours, or 60 to get minutes.

You're on an AOL proxy?

Proxy servers and transparent proxy servers run by ISPs often disrupt BitTorrent (and other) internet traffic.

Can you try the OpenOffice test torrents listed in the 1st link in my signature?

They are KNOWN to work and KNOWN to be very fast downloads...though uploading on them is hard because you can't out-upload 50+ megabit/second lines.

This will at least tell us if you can run torrents at all...and if so, give us a clue how fast BitTorrent downloads can go.
