star81 Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Whenever I run uTorrent, it'll work for about 5 to 10 minutes and after that my computer crashes. This problem had only started occuring this month. Before, it would maybe crash my computer once or twice a month, but now everytime i run uTorrent, this happens. My computer works perfectly fine when uTorrent isn't running.I'm running on a Windows XP SP2, and using a Scientific Atlanta DPX2100 USB Cable Modem. The BSODs I get everytime varies. Sometimes I'll get MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS and BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER with no specific drivers listed. This is one I got this morning.DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL*** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000008, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xB2DBF9E1)*** sacmxp.sys - Address B2DBF9E1 base at B2DBE000, DateStamp 3de2eb1cAnd another one I got later.DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL*** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000002, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xBAA8C259)*** usbhub.sys - Address BAA8C259 base at BAA88000, DateStamp 41107d68I've looked through the forums and saw that some people that had similar problems as me had ZoneAlarm installed. I don't have ZA installed into my computer, although I use Norton Internet Security. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
Ultima Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Your USB modem driver is crashing. You'll either need to try updating the modem drivers, lowering some settings in µTorrent (global maximum number of connections, net.max_halfopen, and DHT are the main ones to worry about), or get a new (non-USB) modem entirely.
jewelisheaven Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 USB networking drivers are sub-par usually. If you can try updating the drivers from the manufacturer or check for either XPSP2 driver or see if you can use wired/ or even a WLAN card.
