WKUman
Hello all,New to the forum, just changed over from BitComet after hearing from many people utorrent was the better application, and it uses less memory so always good. Issue however is I cannot download anything. I live in an apartment complex, with a central router that shoots out wireless signals to each building. I have however, access to the computer with the router hooked into it and attempted portforwarding's way of doing things, however still no go. I am stuck at 0.0 kbs, and have been that way the past two days. I'm open to any help at all, just let me know what information you need from me and I'll give what I can. BitComent stills works, tried it earlier just to make sure it wasn't something internet wide, but am getting basically zero. I have 4 peers on current d/l, but none connected. Please help! DreadWingKnight
Have you tried the ritual OpenOffice torrents yet?
WKUman
Yes, and that works. Is there an obvious difference between the two that I'm missing? Also, getting the yellow yield looking sign in the bottom of utorrent also.
DreadWingKnight
OpenOffice torrents are what we consider control torrents with corporate AND volunteer backing for seeding. Those torrents are known to have active, reachable seeds with high speeds. Not every torrent swarm survives equally.Do you pass the port check? WKUman
No. Even after logging into the router settings, following portforwarding instructions for the router, my firewall (comodo), and utorrent. Just get the error message saying the port does not appear to be open.
Ultima
Uninstall Comodo temporarily. Does the problem persist? If so, then you didn't have Comodo configured properly.
