splintax
If you have to use the "connect wizard" in WinXP, then it's a byte count (ie. if you have a USB or dialup modem). If you use WiFi/Ethernet, it's a packet count. As for the µT stats, are they only in the new beta? Klaus_1250
Heh using a laptop of theirs here. As for their desktops... I haven't noticed any real "problems" with it. Of course, I use it for casual stuff only (word processing, a little browsing, etc)...Dell laptops? I've tried to repair a few after the HD went over 100 degrees Celcius. Not sure about newer ones, but the old ones are prone to overheating harddisks so I wouldn't try to use any p2p app with them.
splintax
On a Dell Inspiron 500m now, 2.5 years old.The hard disk is right underneath my hand. It's hot. 100 degrees C, I don't know about that.. I replaced the HDD though because I accidentally put a magnet on the old one.

1c3d0g
I don't know how much longer I can hold this uptime...my crappy PC is getting EXTREMELY slow as I type. The Gimp just crashed - ugly - on me a few hours ago and ruined an 18-hour render I had going (it still had about 3 hours left to go). Stupid f*cking PC! Switeck
I'm on Comcast Cable -- about 6.5 mbps down and 384 kbps up.I typically run µTorrent for a couple days without reboot...on a Win 98SE box surprisingly enough that does other things as well. Here's my stats:

1c3d0g
Sadly, my mouse started behaving erratically, the PC became so slow, that it finally stopped working on the 30th day...so that's my maximum uptime ever (on Winbloze).
