Cedric
Let's say I have torrents A, B, C, D, E on computer 1.B has 10 GB of files in total and Computer 1 it's at 5%.On computer 2 I have torrents B, Y, Z.B is at 70% of computer 2.I want to move B from computer 2 to computer 1 to continue with torrents A-E but profit from the advance of torrent B (70% instead of 5%).Obviously I can't simply move resume.dat, otherwise it will destroy the other torrents of Computer 1.Can I simply copy all the files of torrent B from computer 2 to computer 1 and do a force recheck? If not how can I do this? Thanks,Cedric
jewelisheaven
You CAN do a partial replacement within resume.dat using a capable editor like Ultima's Bencoded File Editor. You would copy the sub-[ROOT] keys you want to copy to "transplant" the saved information. You can copy the data and recheck to increase your % instantly, yes. hermanm
If both computers are on the same local network, you can send your torrent pieces to the computer via fast LAN speeds. You can also physically your unfinished torrent content to a separate directory on the other computer. Then run a second instance of uTorrent (using /recover) on a different port. Then on the other client add 127.0.0.1:port (port being the port of the second instance). The pieces will transfer over quickly.
