Switeck
And there's potentially a billion little things that can change on a computer over time....Especially with auto-updating software.
brutlern
Autoupdate is turned off. I repeat. Clean windows. Read previous posts.
Switeck
So you don't surf the web and there's nothing but Windows and uTorrent installed on the box.Btw, parts of windows can update even when autoupdate is disabled. But let's just assume it's not your computer that's changed...at least software-wise.For whatever the reason, you're connecting to only a fraction of the peers reported by the torrent trackers. Are you reaching or at least approaching your Global connection max? There may be hidden limits of ~100-200 connections total, either in your network card, modem, router, or by ISP hardware. To answer a previously unanswered question, motherboards using nvidia nforce chipsets have come to include firewall services that SEVERELY foul up uTorrent due to bugs on nvidia's part. brutlern
Surprise Surprise. Everything is working again! I didn't do anything. I didn't install or uninstall anything. I didn't change any settings. It just started working. Better that ever I might add. So the only thing I can think about is that the ISP has been doing some kind of maintenance perhaps and that caused the problems.Anyways, thanks for everyone for trying to solve my problem. Switeck
If things tend to miraculously fix themselves, they likewise seem to unfix themselves later...so keep this thread in mind if something unusual happens again.Might be good to find out if it was purely ISP weirdness.
