blue_eyez
I am running Vista Home Premium, firstly. I have been using Utorrent for a few months now with no problems, though lately I have been having intermittent connectivity issues (unrelated to Utorrent).Just this morning I noticed that my own PC name (not IP address, but the "name" of my computer) is listed on the Peers tab as an incoming connection and is actively "downloading" one of the torrents I am seeding.Should I be worried about this? If it's just a minor issue with no security ramifications I can live with it.
DreadWingKnight
It's not actually you.Reverse-DNS games again.
blue_eyez
Thanks DreadWingKnight.I understand a little about reverse-DNS, but not in the "torrent" context. Should I do anything about this, such as stop seeding the torrent? I did Google reverse-dns and torrent, but couldn't really find any useful information. I also searched the forums here and only found one other thread. Thanks again!
Switeck
Right-click in the PEERS window of uTorrent and turn off Resolve IPs.Now you'll see the bare ip addresses instead of what THEY may want you to see.
