DFRB
I have been using all the 1.8 betas and when I select "remove and delete .torrent" it removes the torrent from utorrent but does not delete the .torrent file from my computer. I have utorrent installed on a different drive then my windows drive. Version 1.7 I never had this problem with before. Not a big deal but thought I would put it out there. GTHK
Are the torrents read only? Are you using Firefox 3?
DreadWingKnight
Doesn't delete the .torrent from where? What build?
DFRB
Yes I am using firefox 3 and when I look in the properties of the .torrent file it is checked as read only. RC1 is what I am using and it doesnt delete them from the directory they are stored in.
GTHK
I noticed this problem while using Fx 3, the .torrents end up read-only in appdata, I'm pretty sure Fx 2 is unaffected: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=330230#p330230
Firon
Firefox 3 saves .torrent files as read-only. FF2 does not. µTorrent cannot remove read-only files. This isn't exactly a bug... To fix it, we need to clear attributes when copying the .torrent file, but that won't be in 1.8.
GTHK
So it is coming? On the off chance someone wants a command line way to clear attributes (note: stupid thing wont take variables):cd %appdata%\uTorrentattrib -r *.torrent
lvleph
I have the same problem, but I don't believe it is an FF3 issue. My files are not read only. I mostly use the WebUI to start my torrents. Other times I will auto load them by placing the torrent in my watched folder. I never load torrents directly in uTorrent.Current build is 1.8b 10853NM, it stems from deleting torrents using the WebUI. It would be nice to have it remove torrent also. thelittlefire
Previously requested feature for WebUI. Also, note that 1.8 has RC7 out (b.11705)
lvleph
Yeah, I realize. I have it on one of my computers, just didn't have it on that computer.
Firon
It is technically an FF3 issue, but we've worked around it by resetting attributes when copying to torrent storage.
