sterling
HelloI hire a server that i use to upload and seed from.Lets say i got some files both on my home PC and the server = "files.s02" they are exactly the same. And i want to upload these to a tracker and i want to use the server to upload these.Must i create the .torrent file on my server if i upload the .torrent file from there OR can i create the .torrent file on my home PC and then upload the .torrent file to the server with FTP?Since the server doesn't have such good performance it takes quite a long time to create the .torrent file there.Does the .torrent file contain the IP from the computer it was made on or what?Hope this didn't come out to complicated now.. DreadWingKnight
Where you create the torrent from is immaterial, if the files are truly identical, then the torrent will seed properly from both locations. You MUST re-check the files on whichever system doesn't create the torrent to ensure consistency.
