egor234
When i only seeding my inbound/outbound traffic ratio is 0.01-0.05 (1-5%). It's too much for me (i pay for inbound bytes). Please, tell me how can i minimize inbound traffic on seeding? All options on "Preference - BitTorrent" are disable.PS: Excuse my english.
hermanm
Some traffic has to be inbound because your peer has to communicate what it needs from you (along with other communication). Also, there is a Scheduler feature which allows you to put µTorrent in seed-only mode.
egor234
Thanks, i'll try seed-only mode. What inbound/outbound traffic ratio should be in that mode?
jewelisheaven
No ratio. It decreases the data sent to only overhead.. including DHT LPD PEX protocol overhead, peer connections, tracker announces and scrapes. Follow port #2 in the Read Me to reduce extra traffic. Also you can lower your Advanced net.max_halfopen setting and reduce peer connections per torrent and active torrents to reduce inbound traffic. Firon
There's no way around it. Protocol communication and TCP overhead will always consume inbound traffic.
