Pestilence Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Ok have been getting a file and it's at 66.3% and seeing it's pretty big you can imagine I don't want to let it fo The problem is I am new to torrent and no idea what the following error means. It wont download anymore and at trackerstatus it says: This tracker needs support for no_peer_id tracker requests. Please update or change your client. Now I did update but it's still not working Anyhow if I really have to change client wich one should I take? Wouldn't want to download a bunch and finf out they all have the same problem
ColdArmor Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 open the .torrent in Azureus or ABC to finish to download.
vurlix Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 next version (1.1.4) fixes that problem too
chaosblade Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 µTorrent does not yet support no-peer-id tracker mode. I believe the developers are going to add this in future versions.EDIT: damn you vurlix, 'your kung-fu is too good'
Pestilence Posted October 5, 2005 Author Report Posted October 5, 2005 Glad to hear it Always hate to have to have "backup" programs that do that same hmm strange it is downloading now. Very slowly compared to first, but still.
vurlix Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Actually it does support no_peer_id in 1.1.3, it's just that some trackers need to be told about it or they just give an error while other trackers won't give peer ids no matter what.. so this issue only affects certain trackers when using 1.1.3
Pestilence Posted October 5, 2005 Author Report Posted October 5, 2005 Well I just think it's strange I can dowload up to 66% and then it starts erroring
winMX_67 Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Well..at least itll be fixed. ven though ive never gotton this error .
Pestilence Posted October 6, 2005 Author Report Posted October 6, 2005 hmm first time for me aswell. Well that I noticed anyhow. Always good to hear bugs get fixed aswell specially if you have them
