update existing torrent file with new tracker

hi,

i just created a torrent file using utorrent,

i use http://tracker.prq.to/announce as the torrent file tracker after i registered in http://thepiratebay.org/, and successfully upload the torrent to piratebay and i see people downloading my file.

the problem now is, this http://tracker.prq.to/announce always offline (don't know if that is a good sign or not), so i am thinking about adding some more tracker on current released torrent file (which i am seeding and they were people downloading now)

so, what should i do now?

should i recreate a new torrent ? (does that means, i have to seed 2 torrent that are actually same (where the old torrent got 1 tracker and new torrent got 2 tracker?), which i don't want)

so how is the way to add new tracker on (the already made .torrent file)

any help?

Double-click the item in the torrent list and add the new tracker, assuming you registered the torrent with the new tracker (I've never uploaded torrents, so I don't know if you even have to do that at all, but whatever =P)

eg. i created torrentA with tracker1, then i released that torrent in my web.

later, i found that tracker1 always offline, and i found tracker2.

so the problem is, i can add tracker2 in my utorrent (double click item and add them manually). but that mean, only my uttorent torrentA is only updated, but not others (people who download torrentA from my web).

let say, if i choose the recreate a new torrent ~ torrentB (based on the same files as torrentA) thats mean, i need to reseed torrentB (which is a waste) because torrentA is still active (assume 4 seeder and 10 leechers there)

so, the question is, how could i update my torrentA (add tracker2) ? so that everybody (future downloader of torrentA) would benefit from the tracker2 update.?

This is where the export torrent feature might be helpful for µTorrent...

I don't think there's a way to do that with µTorrent (at the moment anyway). You can try editing your trackers with BitComet and then export the torrent, and then reuploading that to the tracker site that you're trying to update.

It's too late to add more trackers since you already uploaded it to <secret tracker #47>..

Anyway, the tracker works once in a while, just hit update tracker once in a while and it will eventually say working..
