Moving torrents from an old client

I used to use BitLord, and have downloaded a substantial amount of a multifile torrent - some of the files are even complete - but I can't take how much it slows down my computer anymore. So, I would like to move this torrent to ut without loosing the files, which I can't access until the torrent is complete. How do I do this?

Note: I am not very good at this stuff. I just kind of blunder my way through. So, please be specific.

Thank you very much.

I believe you can export your torrents from BitLord (right clicking and saving torrent file?). Anyway, do that (I'm sorry, I can't be any more specific, since I've never used BitLord) and exit BitLord. Then go to each folder/file you're downloading, and check if the files have an extension added on (would it be .bc! for BitLord also?). If they do, remove each and every file's .bc! (or BitLord equivalent) extension. Now you can open the torrents in µTorrent and point it to the corresponding files.
