Bluredline
Ive noticed with one of the trackers I use that I get massive upload spikes going past any limit set on my connection and even the speed my isp lets me use, Seems to happen every 60 - 70 seconds, Usually has over 3000 peers connected when I am downloading a torrent with them.Any Idea what may be causing this? Doesn't seem to happen with any other tracker, have had no upload spikes and maxed out download speed with 20,000+ peers with no problem at all. Thanks in advance
jewelisheaven
3000 peers on how large a connection?20000 peers is insanely stupid on any connection. You're putting out ~ 200 KB of CONSTANT peer communications data at that level.Upload spikes at that interval sound like normal peer traffic. What version (Alt-H-A) are you using? Switeck
You should be able to max out your download and upload speeds with typically fewer than 60 connections total.I'm surprised your ISP hasn't called you...worried there's some weird Distributed Denial of Service attack going on.
