jewelisheaven
Checking procedure after crashing/incomplete close is not new. It has been in since 1.
Firon
Enable bt.graceful_shutdown to ensure that it exits cleanly every time.
angarato_surion
thx but no error apeas when closes so how the heck is crashing?
Firon
By default, µTorrent only waits 13 seconds before exiting, finished or not. On slow disks or large caches, this can be too little time.
pmshah
bt.graceful_shutdown did not work GRACEFULLY on 1.7.7. and does not work properly in 1.80 release either !!! I am allowing upto 5 minutes for the shutdown process and my download speeds are not great. At best these are around 200 kilobytes per second. Firon
It does if you let it close, instead of killing the process. But if you use Zone Alarm, it'll never close (since ZA sucks). And the download speeds have nothing to do with shutting down properly or not. thelittlefire
It should read "gracefully when not using horribly broken software which is badly coded and impossible to remove". Barring that, you have a PEBKAC error.
