silverfire
Make sure your router firmware is properly updated. A lot of people have had problems with Linksys routers before.
Zahrek
If I have the Network OK and firmware fully upgraded, it should work properly right? I have also forwarded all ports needed I think (45xxx -> 65535) and my port is 55XXX in uTorrent (I forgot which ports properly). Is there anything else I could do otherwise, if it still doesn't work? P.S.: If my torrents have multiple trackers, they keep switching tracker (not sticking to one) even though some of them work.
Switeck
Oh boy...you only need to port-forward the ip ports that µTorrent uses. The outgoing ones don't need to be forwarded -- they're seeking other people's connections not the other way around.I think one of the other posters meant unofficial firmware when they said "firmware is properly updated".
Zahrek
I have just upgraded my firmware to lastest (1.01.05), have forwarded most ports, is there also anything specific I have to allow (http, smtp, telnet, etc...)? Because doing "Utor1 or Utorrent" as app and forwarding TCP/UDP still doesn't let me download at a speed higher than 2KB/s This is so annoying!!!!!Please help! Switeck
Well, who's your ISP?The problem may not be a fault of any settings change (or not) you've done. What software firewalls, blocking or otherwise, do you have running on your computer? Zahrek
ISP : Skynet (Belgacom) I live in BelgiumI have disabled Windows Firewall and don't have any other firewalls installed. My antivirus though is NOD32 (with everything on (AMON, IMON, etc...).Any tips? I really want to download again, I'll take screens of anything of my settings :|.
Firon
Maybe you need to disable NOD32's extra features?
Zahrek
Already tried, but before having the router, everything was fine! I have checked even all settings, they all seem OK.Amon (auto check files that I use) = ONDmon (document check, probably not that) = ONEmon (email check, not that neither = ONImon (internet check, have tried turning it off, no success) = ON.Other than my AV, could it be anything else? Switeck
Your ISP doesn't seem to be hostile towards BitTorrent traffic (according to GOOGLE searches), but I was only searching in English.I've heard of NOD32 causing all sorts of problems with file-sharing programs, though it may have been earlier versions.Likewise, the Linksys WAG354G is really bad at handling file-sharing traffic without updating firmware (which iyou said you did). It may still be bad if UPnP is enabled, even if not used. Using the hard-wire connections is almost always going to net better performance than wireless...but chances are you are using wireless for a reason! Zahrek
Hi m8,Thanks a lot for your quick response, I tried Azureus again (damnit!!) and I have my speed back again!!Although, I was wondering if there is any tutorial or any doc for my router and my ISP to have:----> THE PERFECT SETTINGS FOR MY ROUTER!!I have to admit I changed that much to all the settings, I'm afraid I changed something I shouldn't.Thanks a lot ;-)Z
