MehetoBlack
I started downloading a game at around 3:00 P.M. at a speed of 190k/s and at around 5:00 P.M. it slowed down to about 90k/s and around 7:00 P.M. it was at about 20k/s why did it slow down? Firon
Many ISPs throttle speeds at peak time.
MehetoBlack
Ahh ok, thanks. Is there any way to make it a little faster so I can finish the download or should I just wait until the next morning?
Firon
Well, if you've set the speed guide correctly and forwarded your ports, there isn't much you can do. Just wait until the next day

ToRRenTPimP
you might be able to speed it up a little bit by right clicking on the torrent and setting bandwidth to high
MehetoBlack
Yah it sped it up a little but not much.Do you know why the ETA has a oo sign under it and does it affect the download proccess? Its gone on and off quite a bit in the last hour and i didn't see any real changes except for the down speed. Both don't have any real activity I can see, at least not in the last hour. Firon
The bandwidth allocation thing won't actually raise your speeds. If you're downloading and the ETA is infinite, that probably means your torrent isn't downloading at all. If there's no seeders, you might never be able to finish.
MehetoBlack
So if theres no seeders then id have to restart the installation or find another download just like the first but with more seeders?
Firon
You can either be patient or you can find another torrent for download.
MehetoBlack
Alright, thanks for the help. Does the throttle speed go back up later in the day?
