casey
how do I deal with an app that has been packaged into 33 separate .partxx.rar files, winrar can see and unpack them which for some reason gives me an iso.avi file. What I'm looking for here is a CD image. can anyone help me with this? its driving me insane after 3 days of downloading and not being able to properly unpack the thing
Keke
If it's an iso, mount it with a program like Daemon Tools or something similar
casey
thats half of the problem, I after extraction winrar gives me a <filename>.cd1.iso.avi file which does nothing, even when renamed to <filename>.iso it can't be mounted, burned or anything EDIT: don't know if it's relevant but the original torrent was arranged like this:cd1.rar, cd2.rar, cd3.rar and <filename>.sfv.sfvis the sfv file important? Ultima
.sfv's are mostly useless for BitTorrent downloads. Have you tried playing the file in a media player?
Firon
It looks like it's not an ISO, but an AVI. Play it in a media player, like Ultima said.
casey
tried that as well, 2.5 mins of a black/grey screen
splintax
Then it's probably an ISO. Jesus, who uploaded this crap?Looks to me like the person who did it had the file extensions hidden, judging by the sfv.sfv and iso.avi. Hmm.
Ultima
If it were an ISO, the media player would probably give an error instead of playing for 2.5 minutes... =T
splintax
Depends what he played it in. I tend to disagree, often you can get something out of opening various files in a player like VLC. For example, playing a 200MB iso here gives me about five seconds of "crackling". Weird. I have to admit, I've never seen any video work...
