stezzah1
My download is coming in at 30k pretty slow but when I look in the speed tab the chart says my download rate is 710k totally maxed out on my 8meg line. What could this mean? Thanks
jewelisheaven
... You sure you're only downloading @ 30? Open category pane (F7) and select ALLCheck all the downloading torrents....
stezzah1
Have a look at my screen shot...It's now coming in at 73.5kbs and the download says 306kbs.Any ideas?

stezzah1
well I tried it without any torrent running and this is the result...
jewelisheaven
You can't do that with not torrents. Do what I said, please.
stezzah1
yeah I have done that. All 1, Downloading 1, active 1, it shows the one torrent downloading at 70-80kbs while the speed is 350-400 now
jewelisheaven
OK How about a picture of the Category pane shown (F7) highlight ALL, and highlight your 1 torrent please while on the General tab. Also could you report what build and version you see under Alt-H-A ? stezzah1
OK here you go. But I think the problem is with the torrent file itself. I just installed the new version 1.8 and still have the same problem. If I restart and add a different torrent it seems to be fine.
jewelisheaven
Hmmm, indeed. There's no possible way to download that fast ... are you possibly downloading from an HTTP seed? You didn't show the General tab as I asked but that's OK I guess. In 1.8 you can right click, properties, and check the advanced tab, and go to HTTP seeds area. That's the only way I can think of bandwidth not being there. It's not unexpected overhead from massive numbers of connections 0(1) and 2(9) won't give that much of a discrepancy.Did you download 1.7 and 1.8 from http://utorrent.com/download.php ? stezzah1
Sorry here is the general tab info. and you gave a hint as to why. I am downloading the torrent from e-on vue6 website, it's a personal learning addition of the software from their website. And yes I got utorrent from utorrent.com
Switeck
You subscribed to any RSS feeds?I didn't see any signs of local peers on that torrent...not to say there aren't any. The download certainly is weird, total amount is even counting backwards between different pictures!
stezzah1
Well thanks guys the easy solution for me is to download it using default downloader and not their torrent. If it happens with any othesr I'll be sure to get back.ThanksI have never had any issues in the years of using utorrent so keep up the good work!Cheers
jewelisheaven
That certainly sounds like a webseed though :/ Have no clue why it's not registering in the UI.
