getntorrents
I have been using utorrent 1.7 for a while now and just upgraded to 1.8. Everything will be going fine and then I will lose all my seed that i am connected to and some peers aswell. Of course when this happens my DL speed drops to zero and its like I have to start all over again. Qwest say I have a 7 mbit connection which actually tests at about 4 mbit/s. I have forwarded the port and setup a static IP address which helped my slow DL speed and I have the green light.Any help will be greatly appreciated. Keep it up Utorrent, 1.8 is awesome. Switeck
I wouldn't be surprised if you have only 1 megabits/second upload...OR LESS!So what settings are you using in uTorrent? And have you tried both the 1st and 2nd links in my signature? Switeck
Yes, if you didn't change any settings after choosing xx/768k in Speed Guide...then I know what settings you're using.Did you change any advanced settings, such as uTorrent's half open max?Are you uploading constant at 72 KiloBYTES/second in uTorrent? If not, that's a major sign of problems! getntorrents
No i have not changed any of the advanced settings as far as I can remember. The upload speed hovers around that number but it never sticks right at 72 kB/s. its ussually between 62 and 74. Also if it helps I ran a few more speed tests and have an average upload speed of .935 mbps.
Switeck
To rule out unstable networking hardware and software, reduce connections.Global and per torrent need to be reduced to 60 or less.DHT, LPD, UPnP, and Resolve IPs needs to be disabled. Then let uTorrent run awhile and see if you're still disconnecting from peers and seeds.
