kaujot Posted July 22, 2008 Report Share Posted July 22, 2008 Hi,I've been using uTorrent for years now, and I've never had this problem before. About two months ago, I built a new computer. I'm using Vista Ultimate SP1. My ISP is TimeWarner, and I connect via a Linksys WMP54G wireless card. Even after I built my computer and had it connected, I torrented just fine. But now, if I have a torrent open in uTorrent (or any other torrent client), my internet speed dies. I can barely browse (google.com will take ten minutes or so to load), my anti-virus can't connect to its update servers, etc. When I close the client, it takes about five to ten minutes to get back to normal connection speeds.I don't know what the deal is.
