fatfishjeff
I have been portforwarding for a few months and now when I check the port is showing a different port than the listening port??Listening port is showing 58675 & speed checker is showing OK! Port 58677 is open and accepting connections.I have checked my linksys router and it is set for utorrent at 58675....
GTHK
Try it again? And try altering the address so it checks 58675? I think I remember reading that it will automatically go up a few if the one your trying to use is taken, or something, is UPnP enabled in µT? fatfishjeff
Thanks for your reply....UPnP is enabled in ut......the area for the port is grayed out for checking and I cannot change it...I do believe it's always been grayed out and it previously showed 58675... GTHK
If you forward manually, UPnP should be disabled, if you really want 58675, try disabling UPnP, restarting µT and rebooting your router. It might be better to disable UPnP, and then switch your manual forwarding to 58677.
fatfishjeff
I disabled UPnP and gray area gone ..change port to 58675, 76, & 77 and changed router each time......port forward is not working.....It maybe the router...I'll reboot it again....rebooted cable modem & router and port forward not working.... GTHK
What firmware? Some custom firmware may have UPnP bugs.

GTHK
You bought a GL.. and didn't touch the firmware... the original of which, is utter crap. The firmware known as Tomato is recommended by many, I recommend installing it :/.
fatfishjeff
Thanks...I'm going to give it rest.....I really appreciate your help & will look into tomato...it could be Comcast but who knows.
GTHK
Tomato is pretty good. And Comcast does dick around, though the typical issue is being unable to seed correctly. When I listened to a recording of there rep speak at the FCC I felt like bashing his face in.
Switeck
Can you try forwarding a tiny port range, such as 58675 to 58679...and telling uTorrent to use port 58675?Might be fun just to know what that does.
