Error:Access is denied

i get this error "Error:access is denied" on torrent that i download that are connected on my external harddrive and it is connected to my external harddrive is turn on and the weird thing is that if it is finished it doesn't do that it stays on seeding and i have Vista

As the http://utorrent.com/faq.php states, Access Denied happens due to several causes: the most prominent being silly software. What kind of file are we talking about? Do you have any software installed which would (ir)regularly scan files on your system and possibly create the error? If you can add your uTorrent download folder to the exceptions to the program does the error go away? Or, alternatively if it's a file indexer like Google/MSN/Yahoo Desktop Search, turn them off while running uTorrent.

oh and this only happens when i the destination is my external harddrive it works fine on my internal hard drive

I bet it'd probably start working if you ran utorrent as admin. You need to alter permissions on your external drive to not need to do so.
