utorrent freezes, sometimes crashes Vista

Hello, I hope someone can help me out. I've been using utorrent for ages with XP with no problems. Since upgrading to Vista its causing me heaps of problems.

After some time it will freeze and I cannot open it, even though it is listed in my processes list, and the icon is still in the taskbar. However I cannot bring up the interface.

From there I cannot kill the process, access denied, and it seems like windows cannot either as I cannot restart or shut down the computer. Hard restart or shutdown the only options.

I've tried running it in compatibility mode, as administrator, without themes and I cannot find the cause of the problem

Any ideas?

Uninstall ZoneAlarm. It's a bad firewall package on XP and an absolute pain in the ass on Vista.
