BZFlagLEGOManiac
While trying to organize my downloads, I've tried putting related downloads in sub-folders or, because I'm running out of disk space, on to shared folders on other PCs.One problem I've been bitten by on a couple of occasions is that when you select a new location to put the file, you are given a directory tree from which to choose the download location. The default entry includes the current location and the intended filename, but when you select a new location, you just get the location in the path. The result is that I can end up with a bunch of files being downloaded to a root directory instead of the sub-directory uTorrent would have used by default. In case I'm not being clear, I'll give an example that actually happened:I wanted to download a torrent called Callan.S01E03The default location would have been .../desktop/tv/callan.S01E03I had a directory under TV called Callan in which all the callan seasons were to be downloaded so I selected .../desktop/tv/Callan expecting the torrent folder name to be appended as it would have been in the default location.Instead I ended up with ../desktop/tv/Callan/VIDEO_TS (VIDEO_TS being the first sub-folder under callan.S01E03)I've since learned to copy the default folder name before changing destination directories, then appending the default folder name again.I've been caught by this a couple of times now. I'm requesting that a check box be added to the dialogue that would read "Use the current destination folder name (Callan.S01E03)" or whatever is applicable. Removing the checkmark would produce the behaviour we currently have, where the user has to retype the directory name if they want to keep it or change it. thelittlefire
... When you manually repath, you obviously want to select the folder, not have the program "guess". Not a new request.
