GTHK
Is the Modem/Router the only thing connecting you to the 'net? Does it have a status page? What does it list your Internet/WAN Internet IP address as?
venki5star
Yes, the Modem/Router is the only thing connects to Internet. Its like anytime browsing... I am not aware any status page. What do you mean by "What does it list your Internet/WAN Internet IP address as?"
GTHK
You port forwarded it through a web page right? Poke through the modem looking for status information. Also post a link to the port forwarding directions you used.
venki5star
My problem resolved by setting up the IP in my Router's NAT section.Thank you for being answering my questions
GTHK
...? Sounds like you might have bypassed the modems security, though if you have a firewall on your PC like the Vista one it should be fine.
venki5star
I don't think I have bypassed. But I am not a prominent in Networking... What I did is recommended in www.portforward.com . One way to fix by changing IPv4 in Vista's Network Properties and another is fixing it through Router. My router is blocking all incoming (Inbuilt Firewall).
