shashank Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 I'm using a 2mbps/512kbps ADSL connection, considering the full bandwidth, download speed goes upto 230kbps and upload speeds upto 82kbps, I never put a cap on download or upload speeds, but my problem starts here.. once the download completes 100% (while seeding) the upload speed comes down to around 25-35kbps in public trackers, but in private trackers like demonoid tracked torrents it keep uploading at around 75-86kbps.. why is this? what is the problem?
thelittlefire Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 Well ... .5 Mbit upload maxes THEORETICAL at 64 KiBps, so you're getting some anomalies due to ISP mangling.Check to see if they're encrypted peers. You can turn off transfer to un-encrypted peers in the Preferences.
Switeck Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 They may have a burst feature like ComCast's SpeedBoost...doesn't mean the higher upload speeds are sustainable for hours on end.
