aliasbex
Hello. I've reached my monthly bandwidth usage limit with my internet provider yet somehow I'm being charged extra for uploading. As soon as I realized we went over the limit, we stopped the torrent and shut off Utorrent. Yet, today I checked and I was apparently uploading more. Is this something to do with Utorrent that I'm not getting or should I try the forums at my internet provider? Thanks.
Firon
If µTorrent is closed, something else on your system is using bandwidth.
thelittlefire
If uTorrent is closed, it's not sending any data. Be sure it's closed from Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del).. if you see utorrent.exe you didn't close it completely.
Switeck
If the increase is really tiny, it could just be the peers and seeds retrying your ip...and your computer using a little upload bandwidth telling them to bugger off.If you have a router, you can turn off port forwarding unless you are using uTorrent...that should save most of the upload bandwidth that was being used by old peers+seeds retrying your ip.I seriously doubt they were using more than 1 MB a day though...even if you were being hit by 100's an hour.
