boarder's paradise Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Hi folks. Anybody has a clever idea for this?I have two different .torrent files which reference the same content (meaning the files are bit-for-bit identical). Unfortunately the directory names and file names are slightly different. It just so happens that both are not 100% available, but for some files the available parts in either torrent would complete each other to 100%.If the directory names and file names were the same, I guess I could just download both torrents to the same target directory on my harddisk and uTorrent would automatically add the parts together after they passed the checksum test. But what can I do now that the names are different? If I hex-edit the .torrent file, I change the info-hash and so won't be able to connect to other users with this torrent, right? So what else can I do?Otherwise I could just download the files and merge them manually with a hex-editor, but this is obviously quite a tedious process (find overlapping parts, etc.)Thanks a lot!
thelittlefire Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 1.8 allows repathing like this for individual torrents. Files tab, right click, relocate.
boarder's paradise Posted August 12, 2008 Author Report Posted August 12, 2008 Thanks, but it's greyed out for downloading torrents. Only my seeding torrent have this option available.
thelittlefire Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Uh, yeah, Just stop the torrent first?
