Ashmeet Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Last night i got a peer that gave me a speed more than my limit i.e. 100 mbpsIn the speed graph that speed was marked my a purple and a pink line.Irrespective of a limited speed of my upload (that i my self have set in utorrent)the same peer took an upload at the rate of 100 mbps At bottom of the utorrent where we see the download and the upload speed I saw a new term "L" which showed the extra speed . Now I want to know what was that in it. And can that miracle happen again.
schnurlos Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 L = Peer is local (discovered through network broadcast, or in reserved local IP ranges)Search http://download.utorrent.com/utorrent-help.zip for "local peer" and you will get your answers.
DreadWingKnight Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 L: Local peer. Found through local peer discovery. You can't force it to happen, but if peers within your broadcast range are on the same torrent, it could happen again. If you want it to not happen, Limit local peer bandwidth in the preferences.
