nevlis Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 I have had both of these problems since installing utorrent. The listen error icon is always displayed, even though I've set up port forwarding. My router is a WRT54G, but a v8, and I've had it for awhile, with BT running normally on another laptop. OS is Vista. I also only ever experience connection to about 10% of the (seeds). Not sure if this is normal or not. Usually I download torrents upon release, so it should still be very healthy. I do experience fast download times, but only when the (seeds) are in the realm of 10k-20k , so I'm getting 100-200 connections. However when there are 200 (seeds), I'm getting anywhere from 5-25 or so. I've tried enabling/disabling just about every setting I can find, messed around with a few advanced settings recommended on the forums, but nothing has fixed either problem so far. Anyone have any ideas?
Switeck Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Would you happen to be on ComCast? They've been disrupting BitTorrent traffic (though typically only seeding) for about a year.Have you tried the 2nd link in my signature?...You'll probably need to use 1 megabit/second upload limit or lower.
