recently i have been having issues with my torrent speeds. it started having issues this past week or so.

I have vista 64 ultimate.

tcp/ip patched and a loader using disable driver signatures.

i can normally upload at over 6mbps downloads in the past have hit 5+mbps

this week when trying to get the files for the beta i got into my connection seems to top out at 3kbps and uploads anywhere from 20kbps to 400kbps.

there are over 10,000 peers and 1062 seeders

Most download connections are .1 kbps 10+ of thoses. i used speed guide settings for 100mb

I have tried all the suggestions i can find in the guide and faqs on this site and others.

I am trying to figure out where the problem is first but having issues doing so. my router is a dlink dgl-4100 gigabit router. when i did an active session count i was hovering around 800 connections. even when i set utorrents connections to 20max it still goes up to 600+ connections or more over time.

I have a 790i nvidia motherboard. network access software uninstalled from there drivers. I have even tested my isp to see if it was throttling and the site says it was not after running the test. but it showed my up/down speed being 1kps. seems very strange to me as it was well over 30mbps on speed tests on down and over 10mbps on uploads.

using utorrent 1.8, manual port forwarding, and i have all green lights in utorrent.

I am trying to determing whats causing my slowdowns so i can fix it.

trying to narrow it down from, ISP,Router, network card/driver, tcpip.sys, vista, or just utorrent.

Please help me.

Try the 2nd link in my signature, using no higher than the 10 megabit/second setting.

What half open connection limit are you using in uTorrent's advanced settings?

Note: Your router gets "hit" by incoming connections whether uTorrent accepts them or not.

With 10,000 peers and 1062 seeders on that torrent, potentially getting hit by "600+ connections or more over time" comes as no surprise. It may even be too much of a load for your router...too many connections at once. If that's the case, I really don't have a good solution for you. :(
